Import EDE (Engineering Data Exchange) files into Niagara N4 for faster BACnet device integration. EDE files contain point lists and descriptions that speed up commissioning.
What are EDE Files?
EDE files are standardized data exchange files defined by ASHRAE. They contain:
- Device object information
- Point lists with names and descriptions
- Object types and instance numbers
- Engineering units

Obtaining EDE Files

Import Process

Add BACnet Device to your station (if not already)

Access EDE Import:
- Right-click BACnet device
- Select "EDE Import" or "Import Points"

- Select and click Open

- Preview imported points
- Select which points to add

- Click Import/Finish
