Error Code: Error 7000 - Niagara service timeout

Solution

This error means Windows gave up waiting for the Niagara service to start. It's common on slower PCs or systems with many services competing at boot time.

Fix: Increase the Windows service timeout

1. Open Registry Editor (search "regedit" in Start menu, run as administrator)
2. Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
3. Find ServicesPipeTimeout (if it doesn't exist, create it as a DWORD)
4. Set the value to 60000 or higher (this is milliseconds, so 60000 = 60 seconds)
5. Reboot

Why this works: By default, Windows waits about 30 seconds for services to start. If Niagara takes longer (loading a large station, slow disk, etc.), Windows kills it. Increasing the timeout gives Niagara more time to initialize.
