The Metasys MUI dashboard is your customizable home screen, providing at-a-glance visibility into building performance, alarms, and key metrics.

Dashboard Overview

What is the Dashboard?

The dashboard is the first screen users see after login, featuring:

Default Dashboard

Out of the box, MUI includes:

• Weather widget (if configured)

Widget Configuration

Each widget can be customized:

• Title - Custom label
• Data source - What to display
• Time range - For trends/history
• Filters - Limit to specific spaces/equipment
• Refresh rate - How often to update
• Size - Small, medium, large

Creating Custom Dashboards

Step 1: Enter Edit Mode

1. Navigate to Dashboard
2. Click Edit Dashboard (pencil icon)
3. Dashboard enters edit mode

Step 2: Add Widgets

1. Click Add Widget
2. Select widget type
3. Configure widget properties
4. Position on dashboard

Step 3: Arrange Layout

1. Drag widgets to desired position
2. Resize by dragging corners
3. Widgets snap to grid
4. Consider logical groupings

Step 4: Save Dashboard

1. Click Save
2. Name your dashboard (if creating new)
3. Set as default (optional)

Assigning Default Dashboards

1. Create role-specific dashboard
2. Go to Administration > User Management
3. Select user or role
4. Assign default dashboard
5. User sees this dashboard on login

Widget Configuration Tips

Alarm Summary Widget

• Filter to show only critical/high priority
• Set refresh rate to 30-60 seconds
• Consider showing counts vs. list

Trend Chart Widget

• Choose meaningful time range (24h, 7d, 30d)
• Limit to 3-4 points per chart
• Use consistent colors for same point types

KPI Widget

• Select metrics that drive action
• Set appropriate targets/thresholds
• Use traffic light colors (green/yellow/red)

Space Status Widget

• Focus on occupied spaces
• Show comfort metrics (temp, humidity)
• Highlight out-of-range conditions
