Solution

Communication failure on MS/TP bus. Solution:

1. Verify device addressing - setting multiple DIP switches to ON position results in communication failure. Best practice: set highest switch value first, then work down
2. Check for duplicate addresses on the bus
3. Verify proper bus termination at both ends
4. Check wiring polarity and cable quality
5. Ensure baud rate matches across all devices
6. Check for excessive bus length or too many devices
7. Verify power supply voltage is within spec
