Error Code: SNC overheats - FAULT LED lights, CPU temperature alarm

Solution

If your SNC is overheating and showing a FAULT LED, the controller is protecting itself by throttling performance. Here's how to fix it:

1. Verify mounting - The SNC must be installed with proper orientation and clearance for airflow
2. Check for obstructions - Ensure cables and other equipment aren't blocking the vents
3. Clean the unit - Use compressed air to blow out accumulated dust from vents and heatsinks
4. Check power supply - Make sure the 24VAC transformer isn't shared with other loads (can cause voltage fluctuations and excess heat)
5. Look for external heat sources - Is there a steam pipe, hot duct, or other heat source nearby?
6. Replace if damaged - If the unit is clean, properly mounted, and still overheating, it may have internal damage and need replacement
